Different types of chips
There are three big families of chips : plastic chips, clay chips and composite chips.
Plastic chips
The 'Plastic chips' are the chips the most common, they are not used often for poker, we'd rather like for play the belote...
Clay Chips
The 'Clay chips' are the chips the most used to play poker, they are generally made of clay but sometimes they can be a mix of plastic, metal and clay. Their weigth varies from 8g to 13g, the standard is generally 11,5g. They are very popular by their sound and the touch feeling.
Composite chips
The composite chips are made of metal coated of plastic. They are very popular for their resistance and have also a pleasant touch. The standard weigth is 11,5g.
The chips values by color
The chips values here after are the most used.

If the value is not written on the chips you can change this hierarchy according to the colors you have. Here is an exemple with white, red, blue, green and black chips.
